This fit suprisingly well for a child's costume (I ordered the large) - naturally it was a little short, but I didn't want fabric to be in the way of my high heels anyway. It was quite thick, so it sat well but did get hot easily. Lucky it's very easy to remove. The embroidered emblem is beautiful. Everyone recognised it as a Slytherin house robe too. The hood looks pretty silly though, haha.

Overall I liked how this product was made. However, less than half way through our Harry Potter party the crest on the front came off to reveal an additional crest underneath. This wouldn't have been soo bad if it had been the same crest, but it wasn't. No big deal to fix, but it skrewed up the costume for the rest of the day. Other than that it was made well and looked great!

The cloak is a nice, heavy fabric..sort of like a felty fleece. (Maybe not great if you have animals that shed!) It is so cozy, my son wears it like a robe many mornings! If you are purchasing for a Harry Potter fan & not just a costume wearing event, it is definitely worth the extra money. The clasps are the real downside to this purchase. They are unattached. It is a double hinged doohickey that-in theory clips onto either side of the cloak. They are not substantial enough to hold the heavy fabric & just fall right off
